My Mom

I lost my Mother when she was 41, on February 8th, 2013.

I was 21.

I had a dream that I was lying down on the living room floor of Grandma's apartment.

Mom was lying down beside me

I could see her, but her face was blurry

The room was dark, then a light had shone from above in the ceiling

She whispered, "I love you." And I told her, "I love you too."

Then, the bright white light shone bigger and brighter, until it covered the whole room. I felt like I was being lifted up with my Mom. Then I woke up.

Back then, when I would wake up after a dream about my Mom, I would think, "I should visit her."

But then I would remember that she's gone

Then the grief takes over, as it comes in waves, and washes over me like holy water
